After yesterdays seriously good run, I thought today was a good time to take a day off :) I’m actually thinking I might end up into some sort of routine with all this running! Run Mon-Wed and Fri-Sat with Thursday and Saturday off - sounds good to me!
Day Sixty Six - Where a day off is needed and taken…

Day Sixty Five - Where Andy meets Andy and goes for a long run…
17. September 2008
So after deciding this week that I wasn’t going to make it purely by going out and jogging on my own, I decided to go down and join Beverley Athletics Club for the night. As well as an array of short shorts (though none thankfully Simon Pegg short) and a lot of toned looking people, there was general chatter and I was made to feel very welcome and given a runner to pair up with to help me along on my first week.
Thankfully this guy was called Andy (nice and easy to remember!) and we set off on a nice 5.5 mile run around the Beverley Ring Road in just under 50 minutes (9.2 minute mileing!). It was probably the best bit of running I’ve done since I started Sixty Five days ago, and it served testament to the fact that I’m improving and getting there - this would have been near impossible 2 months ago!
So it was a good evening, I had a nice dinner on my return, a day with much veg and fluids, so overall pretty cracking :) I hope to return and join Beverley AC next week, and I’m even looking at parting with my cash and becoming a member (ooooh and I might buy a vest and raintop too!!).
Keep up the pace….. God bless….

Day Sixty Four - What a run :)
16. September 2008
Back focused in part thanks to Dave and Esta (thanks for the e-mail txts etc. of encouragement people!), I took to the road at 5.30am this morning to put in a 6.5km in just over 30 minutes - yes the pace is increasing too!
I was sat thinking about the whole motivating myself to get out and run and I’m actually hoping to go along to Beverley Athletic club tomorrow night and see what’s going on there…. it could be exciting, it could be trying to run before I can walk (lol), but we shall see!
Need to tighten up on the diet again, though that’s not too hard, easily got in the fruit and veg, was just the left over M&S sticky toffee pudding that provided too much temptation!
Keep in touch. God bless….
