Day seventy one - a special announcement…
23. September 2008

Yes ladies and gentlmen, boys and girls….

I am pleased to announce that I will be running in the Nationwide Bath Half Marathon on Sunday 15th March 2009 to raise money for shelter. I will have a justgiving space set up soon so that you can begin to donate online, and some old fashioned paper ones for those of you who don’t!

In the meantime, I’m going to be building up to this race with a 10km before Christmas and a 20km “celebration run” in February after which I’ll have a final weigh-in to make money for awakening hemel - again paper forms and online donations will be appearing on the site soon.

So get saving your pennies! I’m looking for BIG donations here people! 100 people at £10 would make £1000 to split between shelter and awakening :) great huh! so look out for some new pages, and keep in touch with the daily updates. God bless…..

Day Sixty Eight - An early post…
20. September 2008

Because Saturday hold the potential to become increasingly busy leading up to the end of the day, I thought I’d get my post in now! I did a good run, a slightly shorter 6km but it was just what the doctor ordered and brought the weeks running up to just under 30km (impressive - no?!). Again it was tough getting going, but around the middle I found my rhythm and from then on was ok :)

Not to much else to report back - the expensive soup is very nice, my bass is being nice and noisy (or is it me on the bass?) and I’m tucking into a nice bowl of Quaker Oat Granola. Have a good day, God bless….

Day Sixty Seven - Sometimes you’ve gotta go for it…
19. September 2008

Today I felt pretty awful I have to confess. As I started out on my run I really didn’t think I’d end up getting around - but having set myself a nice five miler loop that included a bit of cross country (yeah I’m doing all sorts at the moment!), I just kept going. I have to say I’m glad I did, about three miles in I was feeling ace and by the end I felt like I’d blown all the cobwebs free! It was quite a nice route (apart from a few down and uphill bits to avoid some cows, a mental roundabout, and an unkempt footpath which I took when I didn’t need to!) and I’ll try it again at some point and remember to time myself!

I’ve been thinking about diet today - I have to say it’s been reasonable but not great recently, and so I had a good shopping trip and bought myself some nice fruit and veg and some of that nice soup with is pretty much all veg (3 portions per half a carton!). Started to think about running whilst at the church weekend next week. I might get on www.walkjogrun.net and plan a couple of routes. Keep in touch people!
