Day eighty six - my kit has been “forgotten”…
08. October 2008

So I haven’t posted for a few days, mainly because I’ve had numerous writing workshops and for some reason trying to be creative and write a blog entry after that feels slightly mental…

I’ve been getting some cracking runs in up till Monday morning and on Monday probably one of the best for a long time - a groovy run around the beach town of Filey, with some shockingly cliff hill runs and a nice flat around the caravan site! Then a friend offered to drop my kit round in the evening (it would have been a tad daft to carry so much on the train) but unfortunately forgot it and so I’ve been kitless…. not good huh. So in the meanwhile I’m hoping to get some swimming in or something :)

In the meanwhile, I’ve got some time to focus on my writing and to try and get the good eating habits back on track! Keep in touch, God bless….

Day Seventy Seven - Back from my weekend travels…
29. September 2008

So I was away for the weekend for work, staying in the very nice Cober Hill above Scarborough enjoying the surroundings and learning how to play chess on my laptop during the lectures! I did get some good runs in though :) Really steep up and downs along the cliff path, followed by a cut across a field back onto the road and back to the centre. My quads and glutes were aching! It was incredible…

Today I’m resting, and then tomorrow I’m starting the Shelter 24 week race plan which should stretch me and help me to build up my strength and stamina. It will also be good to have a plan to follow and cross off rather than making it up on the fly!

Anyhoo, my brain is really smashed after this weekend, and I need to stick some music on and rest! Keep in touch.

Day seventy two - Out training again…
24. September 2008

I am cream crackered! Tonight was the hardest run I’ve ever done! It was just over four miles at just over eight minute mile pace, and I felt the burn! I was glad to get back to the house in one piece - man! It took a good stretch and a hot shower to regain my humanity!

Good eating day today as well, and a really grand day in school - the staff at the school are awesome! Great fun to sit and chat with :) The kids aren’t too bad either!

The plan for the next few days is a shortish run tomorrow (5km), a day off Friday, another 5km Saturday and a 5 miler on Sunday - giving me about 25km for the week - not bad hey! I’ve also began novelising my run[fatterboy]run story - though I’m not going to let the truth get in the way of a good tale (!) I’ll let you know when I’m adding a shop to the site!! Blessings…
